Well, I finally did it. I sold my practice as of today. It was a long time in coming and the new owner is wonderful. Being 71 years old and graduating from ICO in 1956, means that I graduated prior to most of you being born. I will still be on the list and monitor you all in a "sleep mode".

My health was a factor (a small factor) and my wanting to have more time to play with my grandchildren was the main reason. Now that I have more time on my hands, I will again try to get involved with the Los Angeles County Optometric Society. I gave up my position as Treasurer last year and want to be a member of the board with no real "job". I hope that the board members will allow me to do that. I also want to thank the broker who arranged the sale of my practice. Scott Daniels of Practice Concepts did a remarkable job and made this sale move very fast. There were no conflicts and escrow was a snap. If anyone is thinking of selling or buying a practice, I would highly recommend him.

PS: I have NO interest in his company and if it went poorly, you can be guaranteed that I would let you know that fact.

To all my friends on the list, this is a new beginning for me,
